Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide compound developed for its targeted anxiolytic, neuroprotective, and immunomodulatory properties.

The structural backbone of Selank is a 7-amino-acid sequence.  It is chemically engineered as a structural analogue of the naturally occurring immunomodulatory peptide Tuftsin, modified at its C-terminus with a stabilizing tripeptide sequence  to prevent rapid enzymatic degradation and ensure prolonged metabolic stability.
